Aven Financial Closes $304M Oversubscribed HELOC Securities Deal
Aven Financial completed its debut asset-backed securities offering, raising $304.2 million backed by home equity lines of credit with top-tier ratings.
Aven Financial has closed its inaugural asset-backed securities transaction, a $304.2 million offering backed by home equity lines of credit that drew enough investor demand to become oversubscribed, the Campbell, California-based company announced Oct. 30, 2026.
The senior notes in the transaction, designated AVNHT, received the highest possible ratings from two major credit rating agencies. S&P Global Ratings assigned a AAA rating, while Morningstar DBRS awarded a AAA (sf) designation, signaling strong confidence in the quality and structure of the underlying collateral.

The oversubscribed nature of the deal suggests robust institutional appetite for HELOC-backed securities at a time when home equity products have attracted renewed attention from both lenders and investors. Aven Financial's ability to attract that level of demand for a debut offering is notable in a competitive structured-finance market.
Asset-backed securities tied to home equity lines of credit allow originators like Aven to recycle capital by transferring credit risk to investors, potentially enabling the company to expand its lending capacity. The AAA ratings on senior notes typically indicate that rating agencies view the probability of default on those tranches as extremely low, which can broaden the pool of eligible institutional buyers.
